Who to contact
Daily Farflung is an independent web project. Use the contact details on our Contact page to ask about this policy or request help with personal information you have sent us.
Game data in your browser
The game stores daily questions played, selections, deadlines, points and completion state in your browser’s local storage under dailyfarflung:v1. It keeps at most 90 dated run records; this is a record limit, not a promise that records expire after 90 days. The language preference uses dailyfarflung:locale:v1.
These saves support resume, history and language selection. They are not sent to our game server, shared with other players or synced between devices. Practice and the local completion test do not write daily history. Your browser retains local data until you clear it or the game replaces older records.
Hosting and security requests
Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. Visiting a page necessarily sends technical request data such as an IP address, requested URL, time and browser or device information to the hosting network. Cloudflare may process network and security data to deliver content, detect abuse and operate its services. Its infrastructure and processing can involve more than one country.
We do not treat local-only game saves as a promise that visiting the website produces no network data. Hosting and security data follow the provider’s applicable service settings and retention practices.
Contact messages
If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message. We use the information you send to respond, investigate a reported issue or handle your request. Send only information needed for the issue; a question date, clue and browser description are usually enough. Do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents.
We keep correspondence while needed to answer and follow up on a request, or where another retention obligation applies. You can ask us to delete information you sent; we will explain if there is a reason it must be retained.
Advertising
Daily Farflung may display advertising served by Google AdSense. When ads are served, Google and other participating advertising partners may collect or receive information such as IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, page requests and ad interactions. They may use cookies, local storage, web beacons or similar technology to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where permitted and chosen, personalize advertising based on visits to this or other sites.
Google advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other sites. Other third-party ad providers may also set or read cookies or use identifiers when they participate. The advertising providers and options available for a visit depend on the active configuration, location and privacy choices. You can manage Google personalized-ad preferences through Google’s advertising controls.
Advertising consent and regional choices
When personalized ads are offered to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework and provide the applicable choices before the relevant processing. Non-personalized ads can still use storage for functions such as frequency control and reporting; choosing that mode does not by itself remove consent obligations.
For visitors covered by applicable US state privacy requirements, advertising-related choices may include opting out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. If such advertising is enabled, the site will provide the relevant privacy-choice entry and process applicable supported preference signals. The options shown depend on whether the relevant advertising processing is active for your visit.
Do not interpret links to Google’s controls as a substitute for site-level consent or privacy choices. Advertising must be enabled with the disclosures and controls required by the actual deployment. This policy does not itself record consent or confirm that a particular consent-management platform has been activated.
Your choices
You can clear this site’s data in browser settings to remove saved progress and language preferences. Your browser can restrict storage, although resume and history may then stop working. There is no account to close or server copy of your game save for us to delete.
We do not request precise device location, collect a player profile or sell browser game saves. If you have sent personal information in a message, contact us about access, correction or deletion. Other rights can depend on your location and the processing involved.
External links and sharing
Source links open external websites, which handle requests under their own policies. Using the Share control asks your browser to open its sharing interface or copy the result text. Sharing is your choice; the game does not silently upload your result.
Younger visitors and changes
The game does not ask for age or create player accounts. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian can contact us about information a child has sent. Any future advertising must use age-related treatment appropriate to the actual audience and applicable requirements.
We will revise this policy when the site’s data handling changes. The update date above identifies the current version.
